The Story of Kalme
The idea for Kalme wasn't born in a boardroom, but at the intersection of two seemingly different worlds: Sociology and Frontend Development.
As a sociologist, I’ve always been fascinated by how stories shape our culture and how we connect with our roots. As a developer, I saw the endless possibilities of technology. I realized that while the world was moving faster than ever, our most cherished stories—the classics that define us—were being left behind in a format that no longer spoke to the digital generation.
I wanted to bridge that gap. I envisioned a place where the wisdom of authors like Ilia Chavchavadze or the epic scale of The Knight in the Panther’s Skin could live alongside modern interactivity. Why should reading be a passive experience when it can be an adventure?
That’s why we built Kalme.
Together with a dedicated team of designers and innovators, we’ve created a platform that transforms books and comics into gamified, interactive experiences. We use technology not to replace the written word, but to amplify it—adding layers of quizzes, visual storytelling, and engagement that turn every reader into a participant.
Kalme is our contribution to the future of Georgian literature and global storytelling. We are building a hybrid space where physical books and digital innovation exist in harmony.
Whether you’re a student, a lifelong reader, or someone looking for a new way to experience a classic, welcome to our journey. We’re not just building an app; we’re rewriting the way the world interacts with stories.
